The Ridgefield Golf Course, as well as thousands of other businesses in CT,
has been cast into uncharted waters. We know you have questions and we will attempt to answer some of them here.
Q. Why is the course shutting down?
A. As a retail operation in a non-essential industry, we do not qualify for an exemption under the executive order from the Governor.
Q. How long will the shutdown last?
A. This is hard to know, but as the # of cases in our area rises quickly, it would be conjecture to estimate a reopen date.
Q. What access do I have to the facilities?
A. During the shutdown, you may get take-out from Odeen’s. You may visit the golf shop by appointment only. There is NO access to any part of the golf course. This includes the range and the putting green.
Q. Can I walk the course if I don’t bring clubs?
A. Yes, The rules that govern “off-season” walking will apply until reopening.
Q. I purchased a membership for 2020, will there be compensation?
A. The impact of the temporary shutdown on memberships can only begin to be evaluated after the reopening date has been announced. Prior to that announcement, there will be no review of membership purchase or usage.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
