February 2020 Update

To All Our Valued Customers,

I hope all of you have fared well so far this winter.

The end of a mild February brings with it optimism for an early golf course opening. Mother Nature will, of course, have the last say, as we New Englanders have seen many March nor’easters over the years. We will, however, be prepared if the mild weather pattern continues and we do not experience another major snowfall in the coming weeks. To that end, here is what you need to know going forward.

  1. The Ridgefield Golf Course Pro Shop will be open for membership sales & renewals beginning Monday, March 2. The hours of operation will be daily from 9:00-3:00. If you are renewing a membership, it is important to bring your 2019 card in order to avoid the $5 card replacement fee. Other details and eligibility requirements for membership are available on our website at ridgefieldgc.com
  2. Our Gold level membership comes with a voucher for a free round ($28 value).  Any Gold member, who brings in or refers a new Gold member, will receive an additional voucher for a second free round, so tell your friends about the great value of our Gold membership.
  3. Sometime in March, we will continue our long-standing and successful practice of aerifying our greens prior to opening the golf course for the season. As soon as there is a weather window, the greens will be aerified. There is rain in the forecast for today and the middle part of next week as well. Remember, the greens need to be dry for the process to be successful. Following aerifying the greens, the golf course will open for play. Little or no notice may be given prior to opening, so continue to monitor our website.
  4. The schedule for the 2020 Summer Golf Camp for Juniors is on our website. Summer camp is a great way to introduce and encourage young golfers in a fun group environment. Some weeks fill up fast, so do not miss out.

We look forward to the possibility of an early start, and an exciting 2020.

As always, we thank our members and guests for their patronage.
